Role Play Actor and Assessor - Mark

Mark is an actor with more than 20 years’ experience in touring, educational and interactive theatre, as well as in film.

A qualified teacher, he gained a scholarship to train in acting at ALRA and, with his wife, co-founded Boo to a Goose Theatre where he continues to write, direct and perform.

A trainer/facilitator, Mark creates and presents continuous professional development workshops for actors with Equity (Devon & Cornwall Branch), as well as for adults with learning disabilities with Magic Carpet (Arts for Health) and for the wider community with Creative Culture South West. His experience in corporate acting includes role-play and forum theatre for the NHS, Clinical Skills Assessment for General Medical Practitioners, for the business and training sectors including the managing of difficult people and conversations and for several universities.

Continuing his own professional development, Mark has recently undertaken training with the Impulse Company, and Moment to Moment Acting, as well as with forum theatre specialists Cardboard Citizens and, in theatre practice, at the University of Central Lancashire.
