Before changing careers to become a professional actor Jon worked in the sectors of IT, Financial Services, Education and Tourism. Jon taught English as a foreign language (TEFL) in both Turin and London; he also lectured in Travel &Tourism for post-16 students for a brief spell and simultaneously gained an NVQ 3 in Training & Development. Jon satisfied his passion for skiing by setting up and running a ski chalet holiday company for 10 years where he gained a breadth of experience in all aspects of running a small business. As the business expanded as UK Operations Manager, Jon developed and managed systems for customer feedback and complaint handling as well as 1:1 coaching and mentoring others in these procedures. In the IT/Finance sector Jon became responsible for the induction of new recruits to the System Test team, and also was responsible for managing a small automated test team including formal assessments.
Jon’s experience of Corporate Role Play is chiefly in three main areas of the Medical sector. He has extensive experience of observed exams (OSCEs) which follow a set brief for both student and actor. Both Consulting Skills and Acute Medical Emergencies Training are more bespoke Jon has experience of giving both written and verbal (face to face and to camera) feedback.
