Luke was born in Hillsborough, Sheffield. As a boy he attended the Joy Reynolds Stage School and pursued acting through his education, right up to A Levels.
Three years at Guildhall turned Luke from boy to man and equipped him brilliantly for the industry. Just before leaving Guildhall, he won the Alan Bates Award for acting issued by the Actor’s Centre in Covent Garden: 280 graduates from accredited drama schools in the UK compete through workshops in Shakespeare, movement, improvisation and TV for a prize bundle worth £3,000 and a year’s mentorship. Winning this gave him a lot of confidence, guidance and the financial help that he needed. And so, armed with a fantastic training, mentor, a great agent, life long friends and a great award, he began life as a professional actor for the first time.
Luke has worked in theatre, corporate acting work, television and video gaming (motion capture). He is definitely most fulfilled and happy when working as an actor.
